Aachen, October 04.12.2018nd, XNUMX. Our board of directors and CEO Dr. Oliver Grün was appointed President of the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand eV (BITMi) re-elected. Vice-President Martin Hubschneider and Vice-President Andera Gadeib were also confirmed in their offices.
“In times of digital transformation, the importance of medium-sized IT companies for the German economy is more important than ever. Internationally, the market is still dominated by the large corporations, although they are far from offering the better products. Despite unequal conditions, the digital middle class in Germany manages to be the world market leader in many niches, but still urgently needs our support ”, explains Grün.
In order to be able to compete with large companies, medium-sized IT companies have to use the opportunity of cooperation even more and join forces with other niche champions. For his next term of office, the board of directors has the goal of pushing this networking of medium-sized IT companies forward. In addition, there is an urgent need for action in many areas, be it the shortage of skilled workers, STEM support in education or the opportunity-oriented use of new technologies such as blockchain or artificial intelligence. “There is a lot to do in the next 3 years. We look forward to continuing to work passionately for medium-sized IT companies in Germany, ”the three agree.
