The 30th Austrian Fundraising Congress took place from October 9th to 11th, 2023 in the Europahaus Vienna. Under the motto “Innovate 4 Good”, this year’s congress was all about artificial intelligence, new technologies and future prospects. The Fundraising Association Austria welcomed over 350 visitors on each day of the event.
As in previous years, the award ceremony belonged to the Fundraising Awards among the highlights of the Austrian Fundraising Congress, where non-profit organizations and agencies were honored in seven different categories. One of the awards is the GRÜN Fundraising Award, the one for the best “Online Campaign of the Year” is awarded. The GRÜN Fundraising Award was presented for the 13th time by the GRÜN Software Group the and the GRÜN Fundraising Services Ltd awarded. This year, the award was presented by Friederike Hofmann, managing director of our fundraising agency GRÜN alpha.
Caritas Vienna honored for the best online campaign of the year
This year, Caritas Vienna was able to do so with its online campaign “You are bloody awesome – urgently wanted: period sponsors” convince the jury on International Women's Day 2023. By specifically targeting younger, online-savvy donors with donation subscriptions of 5 euros, the campaign supports homeless and poverty-stricken women. Thanks to the committed willingness to donate, around 35.000 euros in permanent donations have already been secured per year. An impressive example of how creative approaches to fundraising can bring about real social change.
