GRÜN Software takes over Swiss Ivaris AG

Ivaris from Wallisellen in the canton of Zurich is a manufacturer and provider of software for educational institutions in vocational training and higher education. The company's software is used by institutional customers such as the cantons of Zurich, Aargau, Bern or universities such as the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences or the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In the field of vocational training, Ivaris is the market leader in Switzerland, representing 25% of all examinations in the country. In total, more than 200.000 users throughout Switzerland work with Ivaris software.

The goal of the partnership is to GRÜN Platform "Software for institutions“ a further depth of added value for education providers to support the growth and further development of Ivaris and to be able to offer customers even better digitization solutions.

The previous shareholders and managing directors of Ivaris AG, founders Jean-Pierre Kousz and Heike Hochstrasser, are happy about the partnership: "For us, a future-oriented solution for our medium-term succession is important, which gives our employees and customers, but also our products, a sustainable future. Jean-Pierre Kousz remains on the Board of Directors as the founder and will also continue his operational activities with reduced workload at Ivaris AG, switching to consultant status from July 1, 2023. Heike Hochstrasser will remain as managing director and will be supported by reinforcements in the management in the future. Heike Hochstrasser will therefore also remain operationally active and will devote himself to more strategic topics for the further development of the company in the future. New President of the Board of Directors for the GRÜN Group is Alexander Kutsch.
