Oliver Grün is the new President of the Europa-IT-Mittelstandsverband

Brussels / Aachen, June 19, 2015 - The President of the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand eV (BITMi) and CEO of GRÜN Software AG, Dr. Oliver Grün, has moved to the top of the European IT SME association Pan European ICT and eBusiness Network for SMEs (PIN-SME) after yesterday's election in Brussels.

The European Association PIN-SME (www.pin-sme.eu) represents more than 10.000 companies with around 200.000 employees from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark and other European countries.

As president, Grün wants to strengthen interests in Brussels: “Europe is shaped by medium-sized companies. In the digital economy, too, medium-sized IT companies provide the majority of European jobs and are the engine of innovation. Therefore, the prestige project of the European Commission on the digital EU single market cannot succeed without the digital middle class. The cooperation between the European IT SME and the Commission must be optimized, which we are happy to do, ”calls out the new PIN-SME President to the EU Digital Commissioner Günther Oettinger.
