The GRÜN Software Group again this year supports regional and nationwide activities in the field of Sports sponsorship with donations of more than 12.000 euros. The Aachen software company is donating again to the charitable foundations German sports aid to promote top-class sport and the Cleven Foundation Germany for the Exercise and motivation program step for third and fourth grade students in the Aachen area.
Support of the German Sports Aid
For over 50 years the German sports aid Young and top athletes on the way to great success and is the most important private sports promotion initiative in Germany. Around 4.000 athletes from almost all Olympic disciplines, selected non-Olympic sports and sports for the disabled and deaf are supported by Deutsche Sporthilfe. Supported athletes are 90% involved in German successes in international competitions. These include 270 gold medals at the Olympic Games and almost 350 gold medals at the Paralympics.
step - the movement and motivation project of the Cleven Foundation
GRÜN supports the Cleven Foundation's interactive step competition with “step”. step aims to teach third and fourth grade children to be as active as possible in their everyday lives over a period of 13 weeks. At the start of the active project phase on November 22, 2021, the pupils will receive a fitness bracelet that records the physical activity of the children in the form of steps taken. All steps are credited to a virtual "class step account" via an app. With the class, the pupils compete against the other classes in the Aachen city region, the classes from North Rhine-Westphalia and the classes in the nationwide step project.
The GRÜN Software Group supports this great project and equips the fourth grade of the Elementary school Walheim with the fitness bracelets. “Step picks up on the trend of digital media to motivate children to exercise more and lead a more active lifestyle. We are therefore very happy to be supporting this project again this year ”, so Dr. Oliver Grün, CEO of GRÜN Software Group.
A total of over 400 classes with around 7.900 third and fourth grade students take part in the nationwide step project.
