The 28th Austrian Fundraising Congress took place from 11th to 13th October 2021 as a face-to-face event in the Europahaus Vienna. Over 300 participants attended the event on the three days of the event. Under the motto “Visions for Change”, the focus was on the subjects of “Innovations, digitization and online fundraising”. One of the highlights of the Fundraising Congress was the presentation of the renowned Fundraising Awards, which are presented to well-known non-profit organizations and agencies in seven categories. One of these categories is the “Online Campaign of the Year”, which starts with the GRÜN Fundraising Awards is awarded.
For the eleventh time, the GRÜN Software Group the together with the Austrian GRÜN Fundraising Services Ltd, Provider of market-leading fundraisingSoftware for donation organizations in Austria and Germany, the GRÜN Fundraising Award presented. The campaigns can score points in the areas of creativity, fundraising success and a variety of methods. Above all, innovative ideas that inspire and involve people are to be honored. This year was the online campaign www.weltretten.at the environmental organization Greenpeace Austria with the GRÜN Fundraising Award honored.
With the www.weltrettung.at campaign, Greenpeace Austria launched an online campaign with an interactive web portal. A self-chosen piece of earth can be symbolically protected with a donation on the website. The world pieces can also be dedicated or given away. As a thank you for the donation, the donor receives the piece of earth on a certificate. The aim of the campaign is to save the world bit by bit together. The donations are intended to protect unique habitats and their animals.
